Family Ingredients is an innovative PBS lifestyle series that features food, travel, culture and family. Based in Honolulu and hosted by Chef Ed Kenney, the series aims to showcase the many cultures that have shaped the unique islands of Hawai‘i. Family Ingredients is an executive production of Rock Salt Media and Pacific Islanders in Communications and is produced for PBS by Rock Salt Media.

From the creative team of Heather Giugni, Renea Veneri Stewart, Dan Nakasone, and Ty Sanga, Family Ingredients is a new culinary travel series hosted by acclaimed Hawai‘i chef and sustainability hero Ed Kenney.

The Emmy Award-winning series traces the origins of a Hawai‘i dish to its roots around the world. Each episode is a delicious mixture, part cooking, part genealogy and part adventure. We travel, search, discover, eat, and celebrate our diverse multicultural influences that make us who we are today. Follow Ed as he travels the world...always managing to find his way back home.
